Steady Rhythm

Why do I care?
By leaving you were wrong
I only have memories
And that every song

Seeing is believing;
And I still see you.
Will you ever come back?
Or is my sight untrue?

Yet I saw you again
Just last night
Was I blind then?
Or just short of light

Forever I remember that day
When you held me and I held you
You have found a new person
And I still have to

You leave me no choice
I have to move on by
But in my dreams
Thoughts of you will never run dry

Drowning me
Like a river so deep
I could move on
But that is a big leap

One step, two step,
Three step, four
I am taking small steps
But I still have a thousand more
