Stay On the Porch

Deep within me is a place filled with doubt
It can fill me with anger or make me shout
With anger you hurt people unless you are smart
And I don’t want do that its not in my heart

How can we say what’s in our heart
When our thoughts are all jumbled
And we don’t know where to start
Things we say can come out mumbled

My thoughts are all over I’m mixed up and lost
Feeling so cold like I’m covered in frost
Please give me a blanket so I can get warm
I may need some help so I can weather this storm

I drag myself up from my bed everyday
Sometimes I want to just stay where I lay
My energy drained from my feelings of dread
Make me just wish that sometimes I were dead

How can I help anyone in my own life
When I cannot take this everyday strife
Someone please slap me and make me wake up
(slap*)
“If you can’t pee with the dogs stay on the porch with the pup”

Love the end line! Within you, what are those things you are sure of, without a doubt? Blurting all your thoughts out on paper, can always be organized later... Since the storm hasn't already killed you, there must be strength deep within you also... Hope you are able to draw upon it as needed...Sounds like you've already been slapped with enough strife... Maybe getting yourself a guard dog would do you some good... it'd keep the punks away from ya... good luck in life sweets...
