Stay Away

If you should you venture too close
to this rock called planet Earth,
you should impose quarantine;
of kindness we have a dearth.

The worst disease is hatred;
it seems to infest the world.
We continue to make war;
at each other bombs are hurled.

The second one to deplore
is that of sad apathy.
There are people without homes
and Mankind just lets it be.

Base cruelty is rampant;
mankind kills his fellow beast,
for his own convenience,
and extinctions do increase.

So, universal travelers,
please, take careful heed of me.
Do not approach planet earth;
there are things you should not see.

This is sooo interesting.. I feel the same way I really like this poem... I understood everything except the last part of the first verse.

Thanks so much. It just means that we are a very unkind species.
