State of Fear

COVID could be surging; we might not even know it. Hospital admissions, declining, wouldn’t show it. It’s such a deadly strain, a Petri couldn’t grow it. If we don’t stoke the fear, I fear we’re going to blow it.

Gasp! No! Not again! Where's my mask? My rubber gloves? My cosmonaut helmet? My hospital scrubs? My portable bubble? ... Today I entered a Doctor's office without a mask. The whole room gasped. I cracked up. Totally forgot the blessed thing. Told 'em I'd sue if they charged me for the appointment that I missed.... Tough tootsies, mendacious medical milquetoasts! ~ Spiro Agnew

I am so done with Covid- I cannot tell you how much I am not buying into any more stories about "a new strain". Thanks for the reminder.

Not to worry, Swetha. Just set your alarm every morning...

Unfortunately true, Jeff. I think people have grown so weary of hearing about COVID, they ignore the news or poo-pooh it, which, of course, doesn't help to slow it or stop it. Thanks for this helpful reminder.

Thankfully, I think we're done with it here in North Alabama. Just hoping they drop the mask mandate on airplane travel soon.
