Starting Out

Lost in your voice
Surfing every word.
My mind drowned in a dream
Where we are together in a perfect world.

Discovered by your touch
As it detonates my skin.
My heart pauses as you gently tempt me
To explore the person beyond first seen.

Drifting in and out of your eyes
Travelling every line of time as you smile.
Doubt and hope go head to head inside
As I tease the thought of what might.

Hiding from the ripples of relationships past
As your warmth feeds the thought
That maybe these seconds
Could grow into a lifetime of so much more
