Stars In Our Eyes

Stars in our eyes Twinkle twinkle little star, how we gaze your distance far Years of light never to touch, thought provoke a welcomed crutch The creator of life, a power unmatched Will nourish a planet, or burn it black ash Twinkle twinkle little star, did you make us who we are Why so cold, and why so hot A blinding beauty, forget me not. Glistening away to the back drop of night Like a dancing diamond or a firework flight Enormous and small, you decorate the skies With adoring thanks, for the stars in our eyes.

I enjoyed your stars poem, Edward, and good luck in the contest you entered. You submitted this poem here on April 22. That was my birthday. If you like star gazing, have you checked the Hubble telescope site out? They have over 100 images you can view. And they are amazing!
