A rondelet.

Thus, stars grow cold To bleak stones that do not inspire Thus, stars grow cold As nature's hands go weak and old When the trees no longer respire And no more has men to aspire Thus, stars grow cold

Dear Vanya, I really enjoyed your rondelet, The stars grow cold! The repeating line gives it a strong, sad rhythm that pulls me in. Your images of cold stars and dying trees paint a vivid picture of loss. It’s a short poem, but it feels deep and moving. Thank you for sharing this beautiful work! Best, Kjeld VK

Thanks, kjeld. It seems that rondelet are typically more pastoral mood, so I'm not sure if I did mine rightly. Glad you liked it though.
