Stars At Midnight Espinela

Sitting beneath stars at midnight
free now to shout and just let go.
Imagination feeds their show,
I’m witness to a streak of light.

I no longer wonder what might
come out of the pursuit of peace.
Turning off the room’s centerpiece
I am not detached from darkness.
No distractions within starkness
hesitation will always cease.
