Starry Nights

When the sun comes down and night time wakes,
The first thing I do is simple;
I look out the window for trees and lakes,
And spot a golden thimble.

I fill it with dreams and hope they come true,
As the starry night swallows me,
With amazing sights that can't be two,
And a wondrous night's lead.

As I close my eyes and set my mind to rest,
I cannot understand,
Why all nights can't be at their best,
And reveal this magical land.
