Stark Dark
The clouds stretched through the sky revealing white patches.
It feels ominous as darkness consumes the land,
drifting across the stars.
The stars and little galaxies gallivant
and climb towards their zenith,
devoured by such beauty and
failing to see what else looms above me,
my corner eyes caught hold of them just too late
as the horse and its rider knocked me down with its iron-hoofs. Then I noticed it was suddenly too bright,
the sun had stolen its way in.
There! It stood in its vastness;
I'm left to imagine what lies beyond this bright cloud
as the luminescent sky played hide and seek with darkness.
I slowly drifted far away to a land blissful.
Certain bad things happen to get us off our comfort zone to bigger things; choices we wouldn't have made if situations never forced the hand of fate upon us. Some pain lead to bigger gains, some hurt lead to bigger heart. The importance of learning to transcend beyond these barriers cannot therefore be overemphasized. Look on the brighter side mate, for iron sharpens iron.
