Staring At the World

Staring At The World
By Nate Spears

My steering wheel gripped tightly in my hands
My feet pressed hard to the floor
Everything in my sight is black
As I smash into a light pole

I've given my best contribution to ignorance
Now I travel to somewhere better
Contributed to non-sense
Now I stare at the world through my rear-view mirror

Staring at the world through my rear-view
So much I've left behind,
Staring at the world thru my rear-view
I packed up my pride and took a ride
Staring at the world thru my rear-view
I lost so much I had to go,
Staring at the world thru my rear-view
I couldn't stand to lose; any more

Staring at the world thru my rear-view
I came to far to go back,
Staring at the world thru my rear-view
I turned around and looked forward it was black
Staring at the world thru my rear-view
I crashed.
