Star People
There, did you see the falling star
How dumb of you to have missed it
It was a sight so lovely
A star, falling, falling to its own death
Pray, open your mind
Let it be free
And dream, like me, do dream
Of those beings I would call 'The Star People'
Pray, forget about science
Forget about the Nasa
Just dream and let your mind roll
See, somewhere does be a world, different from ours
Inhabited it is, by completely different people
Called the Star People
They are all made of sparkling skins
Skins colored like crystals
They live, peaceful and content with what they have
They work not
They just indulge in play for a whole day
And mind you, one day of theirs is equal to a thousand of ours
They are able to do many things at the same time
Looking at them, one would think they have ten arms
They even can talk through telepathy
No need for mobile phones or any other gadget
They are not magicians but they have awesome powers
They can make food appear
They can bring a television in front of them any time
They can even fly, and appear and disappear at any time
But why, did you ask me,
Why did such beings not conquer Earth
But, silly, said I
They are content with what they have
They have not the slightest interest in Earth
Besides we depend on them
Why, they are our Gods
See, they do thrive on our Faith
If we, humanity, ceases to be
Why, they would create another world
For they are content with the fact that we do love them
Say, don't you love them, the star people
Dream you, yes, please do, dream
Of someday being with them
Of someday, enjoying the eternal life
There, where living does be so fair!
