Notes About The Poem

Star In My Sky

in illuminated sky glitter sparkling stars,
my precious star dazzles blissfully in my heart.

from the splendid day my special girl came to me,
                     everything around felt magically soothing.

                    monotonous life turned supremely glorious,
her graceful spirit transformed my prosaic life .

                    brought inimitable joy, boundless happiness,
she carried heavenly bliss and endless kindness.

                     gazing at exceptionally courageous face,
my sorrows, my sufferings, instantly forget.

with a compassionate soul, the angel of light,
                     unfailingly caring, lively, cheerfully bright.

talent and humility - blended in one soul,
rare to find, healing agony her unique goal.

stands comforting and vigilant by the bedside,
of the sick, of the frail, the ailing - day and night.

makes me the proudest, exultant mother on earth,
truly blessed, having unparalleled gem like her.

This is written with such grace Mala. Your love is tenderly displayed in every word, every line - "unparalleled gem," "blended in one soul," "illuminated sky glitter." It is delicate as starlight and strong as selfless love. Congratulations on your win dear friend!

Dear Friend, yes, I am proud of this star in my sky, the way you must be of yours. I have tried to describe that sublime feeling, but sometimes words are not enough. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Best wishes, Mala
