Star Gaze

7/12/15

The sky filled with a dark haze
As I continue to star gaze

Feeling the pulse within my heart raise
While animals inside of a park graze

Does being smart pay?
Or does it only go part way?

Intending to not be bothered
Where the horizon is even broader
I ponder for even longer
Beside the water
Before my mind begins to wander
Over yonder
Towards subjects with an impact that is stronger
Before the opportunity is squandered
I continue onward
And make sure those that passed are honored
