Star Crossed Lovers

You stole my heart,
with just one look,
a cheeky smile,
that's all it took

Your eyes shine bright,
like an open fire,
you fill my heart,
with such desire

Your flirtatious ways,
and non stop chatter,
the words you speak,
they do not matter

For when you're near by,
you are all I see,
there's nowhere else,
I would rather be

The love that I feel,
holds no limit,
my life would be worthless,
without you in it

I count the days,
when I see you once more,
waiting for a call,
or a knock at the door

It pains me to think,
of you with another,
'cause you are my Romeo,
we're start crossed lovers

The games that you play,
they give me confusion,
were the signs I saw,
all an illusion?

If you don't feel the same,
and want to depart,
I'll still be your friend,
just like at the start

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
