Star

I’ve found a star
        That lights the darkness in me,
	Revealing my shadow 
        To guard and follow me.

I’ve found a star 
        That lights even in the day,
        Shining so bright,
        Guiding my way.

I’ve found a star
	That I’m afraid will fade.
	One blink, and alone I will remain
	Cold and forlorn again in a black shade.
