Standing My Ground

I once wrote a poem full of hatred and scorn
	for someone who hurt me quite badly;
with feelings a-shattered, emotions all worn,
	I faced the new world, rather sadly;
I got to my feet and said “no” to defeat,
	and rose to meet all of my doubters;
there were troubles indeed and also some heat,
	but I never let them become routers.
So now I can say, pretty much every day
	that there’s little that I cannot handle;
With boys by my side for the rest of the way,
	from now till they light the last candle.

When those We love stand by our side ,there is little We can' t handle indeed.Mean words said in the heat of the moment do shatter our world and make us sad , but for every sad moment in life, there are hundred happy ones. Awesome !

Was based on rough experience, but I wasn't actually down when I wrote it, more imagined.
