Standing
I wanna stand up
I gotta stand up
If I grab the crib rail and pull hard enough
I’m bound to stand up
I finally stand up
I don’t think I thought through this standing enough
I can’t lose my grip
No, I can’t lose my grip
My legs start to shake and there goes my hip
I want mom to come in
Please let momma come in
I’ll try to look brave and give her a grin
But I wanna sit down
I’ve gotta sit down
Standing like this I’m too far from the ground
What did I do
Just what did I do
I know that I didn’t think this thing through
I wanna let go
I gotta let go
Till I try it again and I will don’t you know
Mdailey 11/20/11
My granddaughter (almost 7 months) stood up by herself for the first time and when my daughter went into her room she saw a scared little girl holding on for dear life not knowing what to do next. The picture was priceless.
