Stand

Standing under a rainbow
completely all alone
struggling to differentiate
between right and wrong

the rain drops whisper
a slow sweet song
and il just stand here
in the middle of it all
 il dance around
in awe of you
as i stand for you
you stand for me
my love

tear drops trickle
down my cheeks
my heart is tender, soft and weak
yet you hold it
you hold it
so tight
so close for me

il put one foot in front of the next
feeling your love enter my heart
the fear evaporating
as I make a new start
on this day
taking you by the hand
I will dwell in your peace
as you help me stand
to fight for my life
to fight for my rights
as you hold me tight
through every restless night.
