Stale Vermouth

Dismay that I am so blithely uncouth
As to bluntly say what is on my mind,
So, I shall blame the stale vermouth.
Dismay that I am so bitterly uncouth
To go through life with this sad truth,
It is necessary, I admit, for me to find
Dismay that I am so blithely uncouth,
As to bluntly say what is on my mind.

Not at all into martinis though I tried one when much younger and found it tasted more like kerosene. L Milton Hankins October 16, 2021 at 9:10 AM If you've ever had a martini, it probably had vermouth in it. The dryer the martini, the less vermouth. I doubt that the excuse works anywhere else, but it'll do the trick in poetry! Hope you're enjoying your visit.
