Stained Glass

Looking through the stained glass softly
Was I that young girl sitting in that pew
Was it me talking with you the most high
Did I look to you for all that was true

Was four as I remember it to be that time
I would always talk with you no matter
Was told about not listing to your words

Awe but I was listening for your reply
I knew you to be truth above all truth
I also knew that you could see all
See what they were doing to me

I knew that you could understood me
All the way through now and forever
For nothing escapes you that I knew
I always ask you "why" why, why
Why do things go on in secret
To the young and innocent

Looking through the stained glass softly
I can't seem to feel you at times
I talk with you all the same anyway
Gives me comfort to talk with You
I know I can trust in you through it all
There is no human that I hold so high
I know I'm only here four years now
And again I ask why do things happen
I know I'm a child of four and no more!

What is remarkable to me is that you obviously have a religious background or training/indoctrination. Yet you are open, not guilt ridden, and honest about feelings. You did pretty darn good.
