St George - Updated

armed with lance and shield
embarks on ivory steed
approaches sanctum

nemesis sighted
embroiled in bloody battle
vicious creature slain

bestowed with honour
patron saint of a nation
commemorated

It is common knowledge that St George is the patron Saint of England, but I believe he's also the patron saint of Romania. He is considered as a protector of Malta.
