SQUIRREL IN RESTING MODE
A poem written just for fun and just because I ran out of ideas....
Squirrel-in-resting-mode sprawls out beneath a lazy sky,
his floppy sunhat shading half his face.
He’s ditched his headphones—no more woodland hi-fi~
Squirrel-in-resting-mode sprawls out beneath a lazy sky.
He listens to the breeze go drifting by,
lets chirps and mountain hush fill the open space.
