Sprouting In Life's Plantation
SPROUTING IN LIFE'S PLANTATION
In this garden where only the strong survive,
As seeds, some travail while others thrive.
Planted with care by The Gardener here & there,
Scattered across the earth life gives it share.
The rain will fall, the sun will smite
But a seed must work with all his might,
Use your "widow's mite" to earn a lion's share
And be the judge if, to you, life isn't fair.
But I will sprout and grow up tall
despite summer & winter, spring or fall.
Rain comes with coolness but sways to & fro,
Sun strikes as a nutrient but makes me glow,
even though hard times come with dirty water,
it doesn't stop this plant from growing in winter.
I won't let negative words stop my progress,
or retrogress, I won't live my life to impress.
I will continue to grow until fulfilment in death
says no more room for my labour of strength.
