Springtime Night

The night is long The moon is strong And stars shine out on high The lamps now glow On streets below As cars go driving by Wind on the air Goes without care Weaves through the silent trees Whose branches stretch With new leaves set To dance with springtimes breeze The ground below No longer cold As winter's freeze is gone Sun's soon return With earthly turn But now night carries on
