Springtime Night
The night is long
The moon is strong
And stars shine out on high
The lamps now glow
On streets below
As cars go driving by
Wind on the air
Goes without care
Weaves through the silent trees
Whose branches stretch
With new leaves set
To dance with springtimes breeze
The ground below
No longer cold
As winter's freeze is gone
Sun's soon return
With earthly turn
But now night carries on
