Springtime Majesty
~
While moonbeams dance 'pon midnight skies
she calls the echoes friend
Midst evergreens and fireflies
as cattail whispers send
Sweet thoughts of joy, a soft confess,
melodic 'fore the breeze
Where lyrics float like dandelion,
adrift among the trees
She rides atop a hummingbird,
it's feathers emerald green
Beneath a starlit canopy,
a cosmic glowing scene
She brings the spring, awaited long,
as winter bids farewell
Like harmonies, the sweetest song,
when gardens feel her spell
While buds anew, now wake from sleep,
be gone such clouded gloom
Each sunny greeting, comes to reap,
their fragrant April bloom
And Jasimine o'er the arbor crawls,
such beauty born the eyes
'long river beds and cascade falls
and crimson butterflies
lo' bluest skies of azure bliss
and dew drops on the lawn
The sunrise sends its gentle kiss,
in tangerine this dawn
So, rise from bed, no longer lay,
make haste, you're sure to see
The glory in each April day,
a springtime majesty
