Springtime

Children running about,
As days start to extend.
New life begins to sprout,
And colors seem to blend.
The skies so serene,
Become a special treat.
The air smells crisp and clean,
Flower's blooms smell so sweet.
As birds sing their song,
Children outside begin to play.
Though the wait seemed long,
Winter has finally gone away.
It is now springtime,
Everything begins anew.
With temperatures on the climb,
There is much to pursue.
I am sure we all assent,
To the feeling we share.
It is within a springtime event,
That no other time can compare.
