Spring Upon

Winter is now over as the once icy freezing breezes subside
People venturing from their homes, no longer eager to hide
The sun beats down with a warm, soft comforting embrace
While we rub our eyes, awakening, feeling heat upon the face

A radiance of permanence is emitted from the eastern sky
As morning greets us with a smile and wink of season’s eye
Smell of new risen growth wafts on spring’s warmer breeze
As feelings of total happiness overcome me then with ease
