Spring Scents

My winter coat’s now cast aside
As springtime days do make their way
Though hidden, the sun, by springtime rain
With warmer breezes, comes today
As God does smile so, ear to ear
For spring’s rebirth that comes each year

Now scents of flowers fill the air
With new hyacinth and lilac bloom
Adorning earth with sweet bouquets
That shortly, too, will scent some rooms
Alas, His garden grows, it’s on display
Alive, it flourishes upon this day
