Spring Says I Love You
Spring says "I love you"
she's waiting again
to christen each morning
to let life begin
She's dressed in white linen
with cranberry stripes
a bonnet all brimming
with strawberries ripe
kiss her and send her
outside to play
you can't keep her home
she must go on her way
she doesn't belong
to me or to you
she 'll grow into Summer
before June is through
