Spring Rain

On my way home from school one spring night, wishing I was in my warm bed. I looked around the bland barren street, when something dropped on my head. Up in the sky were silver clouds, that looked ready to pop. As I stared in anticipation my feet slowed to a stop. It started slow at first, a few drops here and there. But then it poured down harder, and soon, water was everywhere. A smile spread across my face as I span around in the rain, The smile turned into a laugh that took away all of my pain.
