Spring Morning
The early morning sunrise displayed in vibrant pinks and reds
kissing the newly sprouted perennials in garden flower beds
Sparkling the dew drops on the fresh kelly-green grass
As Robins run and jump, searching for morning worms in mass
A bright red cardinal perches atop a paper white birch tree
Proudly Singing his chirping chorus of “cheer me, cheer me”
Chickadees and gold finches perched at feeders eating seed
Happily singing their welcoming Spring chorus for all to heed
A hummingbird appears, as he zips and darts around
In gleaming feathers of emerald with a ruby red crown
The chirping songbird chorus starts to pause and slow
As they joyfully watch the hummingbird’s vibrant show
