Spring Morning
Lord when I rise to greet each day
I start with just a prayer
to tell you I am thankful Lord,
and that I know you’re there.
I hear you in the meadow
singing songs of jubilee,
and in the forest I hear the sound
of a heavenly symphony.
I sit there and I listen
to every note you sing,
in Winter, Fall and Summer,
but especially in Spring.
Spring is such a hopeful time.
It’s then I hear and see
your love for us displayed each dawn
in every melody.
The rooster crows, the robin sings,
the peepers sing along,
and I in silent ecstasy
am grateful for each song.
