Spring Haiku Sonnet

goodbye cold winter
here comes the beautiful spring
tulips show its hues

yellow daffodils
dance to the whispers of wind
slowly bow and fade

pink cherry blossoms
beauty hard to comprehend
feast for birds and bees

in yellow and gold
marigold shines in my heart
stays bright till autumn

golden poppies are pretty
yellow mustard sway nicely

So nicely written with lovely imagery, Jay! I really like the flowers you chose to present the beauty of spring. If you were to enter this into the contest, all first words on each line should not be capitalized, and no commas or periods. (Haiku rules). And the final two lines need to rhyme. You should enter it in the contest! Sandra
