Spring Garden

Once again this spring I'm in the mood To start a garden and grow some food I layout the plot and get my plow I'm doing things like I know how The easiest thing everyone knows Is to plant in nice straight even rows Gardens take work and can be a pain Particularly if we run out of rain My garden wont grow even though we need it I suppose I should get off my couch and weed it Gardens can be fun or create a lot of strife Depending how much work I can get from the wife Spring Gardens poetry Contest Sponsored by: Chantelle Anne Cooke 2/18/19

This charming spring poem was a joy to read, especially when we are still in the midst of a very cold winter season... I like the use of humor and perfect rhyme in your poetry. Nicely done Timothy! ... Wishing you the best of luck in the contest!

The ending was a funny thing to read! A garden is a lot of work for one, for sure. The rewards of the garden though make it all worth it. A wonderful poem for Chantelle's contest.
