Spring Flowers

I saw fields of yellow-gold daffodils A sight my heart with enthusiasm fills, Few things touch my soul with such happiness I’m a sucker for lawn flowers, I guess, I hardly wait for tulips to appear Enjoying them before they feed the deer, Tiny violets on the lawn delight They are fighting nips of spring air despite Lawn mowers onslaught will be coming soon, Sweet dandelions blooming before noon. written February 24, 2022

Never thought of it before I read your poem, Milt, but perhaps there's a 'cause-and-effect' relationship between the lawnmower and the dandelions. Added to which, a vicious cycle ensues! lol. ~ Catch-22

Absolutely. Those little dandelions have such a will to live and thrive. Also, despite how much anguish they cause some people, they are beautiful, in their own way.
