Spring Days Like These
Spring days like these
Were made for katie ruellia –
Who is royalty among flowers –
Robed delicately in purple.
There – she arrived for the festivities
As the trumpeters blow their sennet.
Her crown is the leaves –
The butterflies – her subjects.
