Notes About The Poem

Strangely enough, this haiku recognizes Mother Nature as Mrs. God, a consideration embraced by few, if any other than myself.  Biblically, either man was made first and in God's image, followed by the creation of woman  OR  man and woman were originally conceived at one time.  Regardless, the words "...in Their image"  or  "...in His image"  seemed to imply, at least, that a model or models were necessary in the creative process and that God chose his own image for man.......but who served as the model for the woman?  I contend that Mrs. God may have served as that model.  I contend that God may be in charge of creation, evolution, cultural and societal issues, destruction, fate, destiny, ethics, morals, right and wrong.....those intangibles that truly rule our lives.  In the meantime, Mrs. God is in charge of the entire environment within God's creation.  Often, They are known to consort to accomplish God's Will, as in such events as:

the total destruction and disappearance from the face of the Earth of Sodom and Gamorrah;

or the parting of the Sea of Reeds for the escaping Jews.  Other examples abound.

Anyway, it could be.    Happy Spring!
