Spontaneous
It’s good to be spontaneous,
Not stick to any plan.
Be free to do most anything
You feel like, when you can.
Yet that won’t work for everyone
And that’s including me.
I like to know just how I’ll get
From A to B to C.
I’m more at ease when schedules
Are plotted out and set,
With reservations made and all
Arrangements to be met.
Still, I admire anyone
Who’s wired in a way
Allowing for decisions made
Last minute, come-what-may.
At times, I’ve hoped spontaneous
Might be where I belong,
But, with a few exceptions,
My attempts all worked out wrong.
