Split Rock

Eyes are swollen from sleepless nights
This head hurts from all the tears
These hands are wrinkling, are aging
And short dreams show these fears
The sky so blue with happy children's dreams
This ceiling gray as ash
Don't do what this body's trying to do
Don't do anything rash
Wake up from the dreaming, dreamer
It's broken like that heart
It means as little as the rock in the desert
Dried up and split apart
