Splashpool Fun
Temperature climbing , beginning to soar,
Got to get cool, can't take any more.
Bought this pool for Fran, she can't swim,
She feels safe in the pool, not looking grim.
It 10ft across & 2ft 6"deep, wi filter pumpin',
Only rules that apply are no diving or jumpin'
So refreshing I find, just to sit and relax awhile,
Cool down in an instant, that raises a smile.
Cold beer in the floater, that makes my day,
The heat has gone, my mind drifts away.
Around the pool, I watch Fran float,
She is safe from folk who like acting the goat.
Having fun without fear took a long time for her,
Now she goes in on her own in her flash swimming gear!
No fear of waves or silly practical jokes,
No jibes about no wanting to join other folks.
It's private, it's clean and we're not overlooked,
Enjoying life in the water, a splashpool is all it took.
When summer is over and no more need for pool time.
It's emptied, cleaned and boxed until next Springtime.
