“The magic of a gem lies not in its beauty, but in the spark it brings to the eye.” Unknown ************************************************************** A Spiritual Gem Inside Me Deep inside me lies a transcendent gem Reflecting the clear glow of divine light, With hues of sapphire gems on diadems Like tints of a temple flame shining bright; Its sparkling shine serves as guide in my life, Eases the burden of my daily strife; Gathering its glow from trust, faith and hope It dispels dark despair and glooms of night, Brightens my self and deepens my life`s scope Extends far and wide, broadens my eyesight, Enflames the ambers of my dreams and goals And illuminates the core of my soul. This gem inside me, rough in days of youth Had to be moulded and shaped over time With devotional care and voice of truth, With message of love spread to flare its shine With lessons learnt, with greying hair of age, With experience gained and rough lanes blazed. Lying in me, this spiritual gem Is quite like a large lake of compassion Whence feel of love for men in need does stem Where sprouts a sense of care and a passion For the solitary suffering folk In desolate anguish and close to broke; It`s a spotless gem like the silver moon, Showering its love, its glow and its grace Like a pure seraphic celestial boon, Sprinkling gleams of its radiance apace Like piece of the divine ocean of love With the heart of a sincere shining dove; An eternal gem glowing gaily smart Shedding sincere shine without any fuss Lying in between the soul and the heart, Its simmering sparkle I ever trust As it mirrors the shines of my conscience The very depth and breath of my essence.
