Spiritual Battles

There is a spiritual battle, for the soul you see,
and that battle belongs to you and me.
It is with ourselves, me, myself and I,
when I drag others in, my heart begins to die.
I must battle me, for those thing’s in life,
to conquer inside, those things that bring forth strife.
How these things can twist you, tie you in a knot,
when with yourself, you have truly fought.
Depression, anger, and confusion in the air,
to go on with this battle, if you truly care.
It’s a life changer, these words I say, are true,
when in life, your able to stand up, and be you.
The day’s get longer, the nights seem to never end,
as you feel your soul stretching, twisting right before the bend.
How we want to give up, for the shape we’re in,
as you realize, you won’t never win.
Press on in, begin to take those thoughts, and think,
getting rid of all those things that stink.
Refresh your mind, with the truth, and then you will see,
this spiritual warfare, exists in you and me.
We can’t do it alone, not without Gods hand,
for He is the one, that pulls us from our sand.
With His Grace and Mercy, He gives us sight,
for it’s in His strength, that we will win this fight.
How long will it take, what will we put in,
is your soul worth fighting for, until you finally win?
Many will not ever face themselves in this way, you see,
but for those who do, Jesus paid the price, He will set them free!
