Homeless outcast’s shrill plea,
gaunt beggar dripping wet,
 I, deep root spirit touched,
by human plight and woe,

Creative work. Sad to see people who are caught up in a lifestyle where they don't have anyone or anything. So many homeless are addicted to some form of a drug or are mentally ill and not on their medications. All they need is to be hospitalized and get proper treatment and put in touch with the right agencies to get them at least off the streets or highways so they can live a sheltered life. If you are actually helping them, it will feed the light of compassion within. This reads like a good contender for the contest to me. Way to go. Sara K
