There's something about spiders that don't agree with me Though I understand their importance in nature's society A wishful thought, I like to imagine, I have with them Is to maintain a distance in our zone shared realm But seems some like to crawl around and over me Each time when it happens, I'm flailing wildly Every little tickle feels me with horror and dread Wondering if it's a spider I fear yet still respect One was on my shoulder that appeared from nowhere A teenager of its species if to guess an age that's fair How and why they get on me is a mystery to me I'm sure that ninja spider is teaching them with glee When I was sleeping, one walked along my arm Gauged it in the darkness then flicked it off without harm I heard it land on something a short distance away I felt brave and removed it when I saw it next day Outside or inside, they always find a way on me Maybe I should feel honoured not just feel unlucky Not one has ever bitten me, they just give me a fright I will never harm one, no matter their size or height But wish they would stop giving such a scary surprise With space all around them they have freedom paradise Nature is my passion and respect all that lives within But these spiders will steer me to drink a double gin. 21.01.21 *Ninja Spider is reference to a poem I wrote last year*

Hello Emilia … I guess I’m one of the few people who enjoy a spider’s company. We have a huntsman here that live inside and are quite big but harmless - thank you Emilia - Lindsay

I know many shriek when they see them, they don't bother me and I always catch them and put them outside. A thing I don't understand is how some of those big ones get in the house. Tom

I think their like mice can get through any small gaps. Had one in my porch once, was big as a tarantula, that one I had to get someone else to remove and was then released into one of the fields. Emilia : )

Liked the poem. Fortunately I learned to identify some of the poisonous ones the others I try to leave unbothered. Cute picture! John

Thank you J. I think the false widow spider is the most venomous spider in the UK. I leave them unbothered they just bother me lol, Emilia : )

I don't mind the spiders but I certainly wouldn't want them crawing all over me. Cute poem, Emilia, enjoyed the read. Hugs, John

Haha... you made me laugh... Emilia. Am ok with spiders. But lizards... Oh my... am so irritated and scared by them, whereas my son is ok with lizards but scared of spiders like you. Lol. Good that you do not harm them. I will show this poem to my son. Hugs ~ Ani
