Spider, Spider Crawling Light

Spider, spider, crawling light, up my trousers in the night; with what devilish plan in mind are you targeting my behind? Was mother nature thinking right? when it gave hairy legs eight? was she drunk and saw double, multiplied legs to cause trouble? And brown body with many a spot, could scare the life out of us lot! and when you throw that sticky thing, we creatures fear your deadly sting! Now you have stopped at my knees, is this some kind of a slow tease? do you stop, frolic, do a dance? before to my organs you advance? Let me share a secret with you, the hand that made you made me too, so tonight I did plan ahead, brought a rolled newspaper to bed!! Spider, spider crawling light, take this hit with all my might, next time go take on a fly, if you come back you will surely die!! Premier contest winner 6 a parody on William Blake’s Tyger, Tyger burning bright! Written 20/12/2020 Parody on a famous poem contest L Milton Hankins sponsored!

Congratulations on your win. I love your line, "Now you have stoped at my knees," I would have stopped him long before my knees. Enjoy your win and weekend.

Thanks for heartfelt blessings. You remind me of my brother, he would make me laugh the way your poems do. What is your age? I am 50. Wanted to know for I believe blessings by those who are elder to you do come true. Take care. Warm regards Rama

This too will place high. It is the best example of a parody wonderfully penned. Reminded me of those days when we would kill insects with rolled newspaper. Have a blessed day ahead.
