Spider

There is a canopy shading me.
   Full out leaves,
   Limbs stretched out.
   Sun filtered,
   Lapping gently around the trunks.
   Gossamer webs,
Wave and shimmer in the breeze.
Do spiders weave diamonds in their strands?
   Causing a shimmer,
   Or are they weaving diamonds,
That other bugs see as commands.
   Drifting into the silk.
   Crafted for a meal.
   Woven in the shimmer,
   The last of their ordeal.
   Blended into the strands,
   Spider central in command!

Thank you, have been enjoying watching the spiders create beautiful designs every morning. Right now is spider season in our area.
