Spencer At the Fair
He screamed the whole way on the roller coaster ride,
Then asked, “Can we do it please again?”
We laughed so hard it hurt our sides,
When the Tilt-A-Whirl sent us on a spin.
He shared his cotton candy while we waited in line
For the ride that goes up-side-down;
We counted the stairs to the Giant Slide we climbed
Then raced back down to the ground.
He held my hand in the Haunted House,
And said, “One time in there is enough”.
He threw a ring on a bottle and won a Mickey Mouse;
In the midway we won some other stuff.
By the end of the day we were both worn out;
Driving home he fell asleep in the car.
This is what being a Dad of a seven year old is all about;
“Best Buddies” is what we say we are.
