Spell
The binding of uncouth regard
divides the kingdom from the rod
and numbing consequence is trod
by cruelties standpoint, never god!
And spell of fate does take exceed
where once in life I had thy sake
and climbed to vestige, His own stake
and chancing not - the sin of take!
So giving up ~ the victim's stride
becomes defeat, therein not hide
while courage bolsters my intent
I fail from numbness, hurt's consent!
Object I then, again, again
and spell my entities, not men's
but oneness with creations fend
with truth and love, resolve distend!
No killing for my own redeem
no pastime that of self do ream
the spell of others ~ filling grim
reminders of rapacious whim!
Forgotten, but the spell of sin
more prevalent, one small voice can win,
as I am hearing God's, akin
in trust and truth am strength's amend!
