Speech

   Libelous, slanderous speech
singes the fuzz off of the peach

Gossip and tale-bearing crooked ears reach
no thanks to the mouth of the human leech…

Speech is God’s greatest gift to man
     employed sparingly it can

Elevate us to the highest heights
     sacred spaces of brilliant light

I believe it was Churchill who said "I have often had to eat my words and have found them to be a substantial diet" or something like that..

This is a poem of truth that reaches to the betterment of the human species. Should I say "good luck". We can always hope.
